This 3-ingredient ice cream is the perfect way to start your day. Matcha green tea powder is an excellent source of antioxidants. With a little kick of caffeine from the green tea, this is a great meal to make when you need an extra boost of energy.
Freeze 4-6 ripe sliced bananas.
- 4-6 frozen bananas
- 1 teaspoon matcha powder
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- Blend 1 tsp matcha powder with as little water as needed to reach the blades of blender (about 1/8 - 1/4 cup)
- Add frozen bananas and maple syrup to blender
- Blend on slow blender setting until a smooth mixture is obtained. Since it will be thick you may have to pause the blender to scrape and stir before blending again. Repeat as many times as you need to get it to blend thoroughly.
- Add fresh berries, dried fruit, coconut flakes, buckwheat grouts, chia seeds, or anything else you'd like to sprinkle on top
